FALL 2020 REC SEASon Update

We wanted to provide you all with an update on where the league stands for a fall season. We are still hopeful to have a season in the fall as some restrictions have been lifted.

Registration fees & uniforms:

Due to the current environment and so many unknowns, enrollment for recreational soccer is currently down by approximately 50% compared to previous seasons. If enrollment does not increase, we may6 not have enough teams for a viable fall season. To hopefully avoid this issue, the league has made the following changes:

· Effective immediately, registration fees are now $100 and will continue registration until July 31st. For any parent that has already paid registration, a $25 refund will be credited back to you. Registration will remain open through July 31st. There will be no late fee assessed.

· To help offset this cost and due to having less players this year, we will not be offering full uniform kits. Instead, all players will wear a light or dark shirt of their own on Saturday games. Soccer socks, shorts, cleats and shin guards will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian to provide.

Should we need to cancel the season due to COVID, the league will reimburse parents a full or partial refund depending upon how many games have been played.

COVID precautions:

The league will follow all precautions necessary to ensure the safety of the players as required by the State of California and County Public Health Departments. We will require social distancing and masks of spectators and request no one come to practice (player, parent, or spectator) if they are showing any symptoms or have known exposure to anyone with COVID. In addition, we will request all parents and/or legal guardians to sign a waiver of liability.

Regardless of what it is, we want to hear it!

The league is typically notified by 2pm each day from city/schools regarding field status.

In an effort to help with field status inquiries, we will update this section as the league receives notice that a field is closed due to weather, air quality or a special event. We relay the information by email as quickly as possible after the league is notified.
