GAME DAY Field Setup / Breakdown
All Fields: General Setup
Arrive at least 15-20 minutes early (depends on age group and type of goals used)
Check field for general playing condition. Look for holes, puddles, unsafe conditions. Pick up trash or other impediments.
Check nets for holes or loose straps.
You should know the combo codes to the locks on your fields. If not, Email or call Fields Coordinator before Saturday. The same combo should open any entry gates (Grass Valley Charter) or equipment boxes/sheds that may be locked.
Field Specific Setup (All coaches/teams playing the first games of the day are responsible for setup)
U6/U8 (Grass Valley Charter): Set up the goals for your field. Grass Valley Charter has 4x6 metal goals locked up to the shed on the east side of the parking lot. Cones may be placed at the field corners, if desired. 2 game balls for each field are kept in the shed.
U6/U8 (Sierra College): Sierra College has 4x6 metal goals locked up next to the storage shed. Cones may be placed at the field corners, if desired. 2 game balls for each field are kept in the shed.
U10 (Mautino): Move the two smaller goals into place. Flip over wheels and roll them into position for the 7v7 field. Get corner flags from shed and place at the corner spots. 3 games balls for each field are kept in the shed.
U12/U14 (Sierra College): Put the goals in place, if they are off to the side. Get corner flags from shed (next to parking lot) and place flags at the corner spots. 3 games balls for each field are kept in the shed.
Breakdown (All coaches/teams playing the last games of the day are responsible for breakdown. If no teams are waiting to play another game, assume you are the last game)
U6/U8 (Grass Valley Charter): All goals must be carefully stacked and locked up to the shed on the east side of the parking lot (These goals will disappear if not locked!). Return all cones and balls to the shed.
